Samsung recently launched S21 series smartphone along with Earbuds pro & Smart tag. The Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag launched in India on 14 Jan, 2021.
The Smart Tag tracker can be attached to any object like your keys as keychain, trolley bag, as a key chain, purse/wallets & pet collar etc. which helps user to locate their device and things. The Galaxy Smart Tag has 3V CR2032 button cell for power supply.
The tracker shape is rounded-square shape and a hole for a cord or strap. It comes in Black and Oatmeal colours. But later it comes in teal and pink, blue and multi-packs.
Galaxy Smart Tag is a small Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) dongle. The smart tag will paired with a smartphone via Samsung’s SmartThings app, which can show its last known location on a map via find feature.
When you are finding your tag, the App shows a proximity indicator depending on the strength of the BLE signal, and you can tap a button for emit a chime via tag.
The Samsung tells that the Samsung SmartTag will only works with Samsung Galaxy devices. It will not work if you have another Android phone or an iPhone.
